Pikliz is a condiment of pickled cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, and probably tomatoes too in Haitian cuisine. The spicy dish is also served on the table with other foods, such as rice and beans, to improve the taste.

Shred a 1/2 cabbage, 1 carrot (peeled), 1 onion, diced 1/2 bell pepper, 2 tomatoes, and combine them all and mix them.

Now, add cayenne pepper to taste, 2 tsp apple cider vinegar, a few cilantro or parsley (chopped/diced), 3 tsp oil, 1/2 lime or lemon (squeezed), salt to taste, and mix.

Finally, add some sweet peas, mix them all up and your Haitian pikliz is ready!
